Like a lot of great ideas Kingdom IT Ltd was conceived over a couple of pints in a pub on a weekday afternoon. Founders Aynsley Watson and Jason Sloan had worked together for several companies in the past, Smile the internet bank, The Co-operative Bank, The Blue Group and Careers Scotland to name a few. Both of them have extensive IT knowledge and an excellent customer service background stemming from the industry sectors of retail and hospitality.
Aynsley had been a recent victim of the recession, losing his job of 9 years as a Service Desk Manager with the IT Support firm Maclellan IT Ltd. Jason was ‘enjoying’ bringing up his twin sons with his wife and generally being a house husband. Both had wanted to work together on a project for some time and this was the perfect opportunity.
As it turned out data recovery was something both people had a passion for, Jason had been learning about electronic and mechanical fixes for hard drives for some time, he is never happier than when he has a screwdriver in his hand. Aynsley had dealt with logical (file deletion, formatted) issues for many clients with Maclellan and had honed his skill with rebuilding file systems (file carving). In April 2009 Kingdom IT Ltd was born.
How the name Kingdom IT Ltd came about is not too exciting, originally the company was going to be set up in Fife (the Kingdom of Fife, get it?) but ended up in Midlothian instead but by this time the name had stuck. Just as well really because some of the name suggestions were pretty awful for example; JAWS IT (their initials).
As of December 2010 Kingdom IT Ltd has changed to Kestra Ltd and Kingdom Data Recovery is a trading name as this is more descriptive of what the company does.
Kingdom Data Recovery is enjoying a growing reputation thanks to excellent customer service and giving that little bit extra. We are very proud to showcase our success stories as it makes it all worthwhile when a customer gets those precious personal photos back or that course dissertation that they have been working on for the past year retrieved.
Kingdom Data Recovery currently undertake regular data recovery work for several IT firms throughout the UK and for other industry sectors such as the automotive industry. However as well as performing important data recovery work for businesses the company also serves the individual customer. The free diagnostic and no data no fee policies ensure that the only fee paid by the customer is for a successful recovery of the data they desire therefore giving them peace of mind.
The future plans for the Kingdom Data Recovery are to expand the work force and constantly upgrade their equipment so they are always at the cutting edge of the data recovery industry. Also Kingdom Data Recovery will be entering into the world of computer data forensics to provide evidence for Civil, Criminal and Company disciplinary actions. They will be equipped to deal with internal company issues as well as assisting solicitors with criminal cases.
Solid state disks are becoming more and more popular and as prices reduce they will be more common place in computers and as external drives. Solid State disks have a different method to storing data to the more traditional mechanical hard drives and as a result recovering the data from one has a different approach. Solid State data recovery is a relatively new process and it is Kingdom Data Recovery’s intention to be one of the leading companies to be able to recover data from Solid State drives as the techniques develop.
We understand the importance of your data, be it precious photo memories, important paperwork or vital information that your business needs to keep operational. Kingdom Data Recovery’s service pledge provides that piece of mind that we perform free diagnostics and have a no data no fee policy so you will only pay for the data you want recovered and nothing else*. Our up front pricing also means you know the price you are going to pay before the work is carried out*. Some companies have obscure pricing structures and what is quoted before a job starts is often different to when the job has completed.
Kingdom Data Recovery holds data security in the highest regard. Your recovered data is stored on secure servers and the facility is alarmed and occupied during the evening. At no stage during the recovery process do we access your data. We have measures in place to test the integrity of the data without having to access it. Data is only directly accessed at the request of the client, protecting the client’s privacy is paramount. We even provide a free data erasure and hard drive destruction service for existing customers.
Believe it or not we don’t want you to experience the trauma of a failed hard drive again so after the successful recovery of your data has completed we will be pleased to offer you free consultation on how to prevent data loss in the future and explain the various backup methods available to you.
